New Bus Route

PUBLIC transport users living in Golden Grove will now have a direct link to Mawson Lakes after the Marshall Government fulfilled an election commitment to provide a new bus route for the area.

The State Government recently announced the creation of bus route 566, which will operate 10 trips daily, Monday to Friday, while also operating five services in both directions on Saturdays.

Community members were consulted on two different models, with approximately 62 per cent of survey responders supporting the final alignment.
The new route also includes three new bus stops situated along Wynn Vale Drive.

Member for King Paula Luethen said she has spoken to a number of university students who have been crying out for a direct service from Golden Grove to Mawson Lakes.

“The community has asked for more east-west bus service connections and a service before 9am to help get our young people to school and university and its fantastic that the feedback has been taken on board,” she said. “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to deliver on another election commitment for the people of the north eastern suburbs.”
